I'm one of the few Australians who have never been to New Zealand (if you disregard dropping in to Auckland airport on the way to LA a few years ago).
This week I will remedy that oversight when my friend Sigrid, from northern New South Wales, and I meet up at Queenstown in the south island of New Zealand and spend two weeks exploring the natural world in the south of the south island.
So, armed with cameras and binoculars, Te Wai Pounamu here we come.
