Two ferries and a bridge

From Riviere-du-Loup we crossed the St Lawrence to Saint-Simeon on a ferry. It took about an hour and I have to say the Queenscliffe ferry, comparable in size,  beats it hands down. We queued for about an hour to be sure of getting across because they only run it three times a day, Phil had to queue again on board to pay. It's shoulder season so I don't know what it would be like in summer.

View of Saint-Marie from the ferry across the St Lawrence.

Lac du Portage

An inlet on the St Lawrence

Another ferry, this one free and frequent, across the Saguenay River at Tadoussac.
We then drove to Saguenay along the river on a road called La Route du Ford. It's promoted as a tourist route and it was indeed beautiful. We didn't see the actual fjord but will explore a bit tomorrow, but it is very long (234 km), there are pretty villages on both sides and is fully navigable so it's popular.

A covered bridge, called Louis-Gravel and built in 1934.
