Medicine Bow

On our road map a series of green dots along a road indicates a scenic route so why would you chose to travel on a major freeway when a more scenic route gets you to the same place?

So we went from Rawlins through Laramie to Cheyenne over the Snowy Range and the Curt Gowdy State Park, through the Medicine Bow National Forest. And we did some geocaching for the first time this holiday - always guaranteed to take you into places you wouldn't think to go and always interesting. We found four caches, and dipped on a couple.

At the Snowy Range Pass (10847') we were above the tree line - these conifers were barely head height.
